I don’t have a musical bone in my body – the closest thing to music I can do is sing – and that’s “in the shower singing” which always sounds better. When I had a request from a friend, who is also a bassoonist, to do a funky “product” shoot of her instrument – the Bassoon, I was really flattered. She wanted it captured in different angles, using a shallow depth of field to have some creative shots and show off the instrument in a different way to normal. They will then be placed as pieces of artwork in her lounge – even more flattering! :)
I had some fun, asking her to hold it and show it off in a way that only a musician would know.
