Paul & Verena’s Johannesburg Wedding

Rain was forecast the week before the wedding. How could this be happening with so many people coming for the wedding all the way from Germany! They wanted to see blue, sunny Johannesburg skies! Everyday I checked the weather report. Rain. In the morning I checked again; a little more promising, “Overcast with 60% chance of rain.”  “That’s not bad”, I thought. But being a photographer, I had plan B, and that was to utilise the beautiful inside of the house that Paul & Verena were getting married at.

Paul is Johannesburg born, but met his beautiful bride in Germany, and that was love – they now live happily together in Germany, but decided to have their wedding back here in South Africa. What better way to celebrate Johannesburgs glory, but to have photos on the Nelson Mandela bridge with the CBD in the background! Wow – it was awesome – and don’t they just make a stunning couple!!

So as you probably guessed, the weatherman was wrong – ok, only slightly wrong. There was no rain, and it was overcast, but cloud cover is God’s softbox for a photographer! :) Then at sunset, boy did we have a cracker of a sunset as the sun started to peek it’s head through the clouds.

Thanks to my sweet husband assisting and second shooting for me at this wedding.
