The Whisky Live Festival opened last week Wednesday and Jeanette Verster asked me to second shoot with her. We had a lot to cover, but it was such a great experience and really interesting to go. I have been to one before, but I didn’t attend any workshops which they hold (such as cocktail making with Schweppes, or Food pairing with Whisky with Pick n Pay, or smelling and tasting with Macallan) I will definitely be doing that next year!
As the photographers we had all access, so we were allowed to go and take photos everywhere including the VIP lounges of the main sponsors Volvo and FNB so it was a really great experience all round.
The bagpipe players opened up the Festival by playing and marching around the whole arena. They are incredible to watch. They put such energy into blowing the bagpipes and the sound is so awesome up close and personal.
