A Glitzy Wedding: Sandton Sun

I was honoured when John Armstrong Photography asked me to second shoot with him on this wedding at the Sandton Sun Hotel. He is the most incredible wedding photographer, he is cool, calm and collected and really knows how to get his crowd to laugh, smile and work to his advantage . He works meticulously and catches each moment with ease. It was great to work with him and learn from him.

I was lucky enough to spend some time with the bridesmaids while John was with groomsmen and doing Taryn’s bridal portraits. What stunning girls inside and out and you can tell what a bond Taryn has with each of them.

It was the first Jewish wedding I have photographed, and with the help of John Armstrong telling me what was next and the help of Google research, I learnt some really interesting traditions. It was exciting, fast paced, lots of details, lots of people, lots of tradition and totally energetic. By the time I left, I was ready to join in the party and do some dancing myself. :)

Adam and Taryn are a lovely couple, and their family and friends definitely showed their love for them.

Isn’t she a gorgeous bride!

My favourite thing – the decor! I was in my element! It was all such yummy gorgeousness!

The Chuppah

The the party started with some drinks and canapes…

The most awesome entrance into the reception is started with some dancing: Hora
