Sharon & Chiko’s Love Story Wedding, Pabani, Zimbabwe

The moment I met Sharon and Chiko I fell in love with their nature. Relaxed, calm, happy, loving and both have this beautiful aura about them. The first time we met in person was the day before their wedding, but with all our emails flying back and forth, I sort of felt like I knew Sharon already.

When we finally met, Sharon gave me a huge hug – the type of hug that is so genuine – and from that moment I knew I would just LOVE their wedding. Chiko has such gentle eyes and he was so amazing and kind to me & could totally tell how well suited they are.

Listen to this amazing love story! Chiko is from Zambia, Sharon from Zimbabwe. They met in Junior school, and attended the same school and Sharon told me she had such a crush on him as a little girl,(too cute!) but it was only later in life that their love story came to life and Chiko realised that she is the lady for him and now as they say, the rest is history! :)

This is kind of love I just swoon over & makes me fall in love with photographing weddings all over again. I really felt like part of the day, and my car was even decorated to be apart of the entourage, so I had white & yellow ribbons blowing in the wind as I drove home after a very special day, and the Brenda Fassie Wedding Day song playing in my head: “It’s your wedding day, it’s your wedding day…” (go and listen to the song as you browse through this bumper edition of images)

There was the coolest dance off, and the last people standing were these two! They were the favourites of the night! :)

Such an awesome moment between Father and his new son-in-law. :)

WOW, What an amazing event. As I repeatedly look at these photos, I smile occassionally laugh, cry because I did not make it, my emotions run wide, but above all, I am so happy, proud and feel so blessed to be a part of this family. We love you Chiko and your whole family. What God has put together, no man shall destroy. My prayer for my sister and brother~in~law (I love the sound of that) is to have a joyful union filled with love, harmony and whatever your hearts desire. I cant wait to finally meet Chiko. The photos say it all, LOVE is the greatest.
