This shoot was one of my last family sessions for 2013, and I just love these moments of interaction between this family to be treasured. If there’s one thing I’ve learnt in my life, it is to treasure moments with loved ones, because time flashes past us. We look forward to momentous occasions to happen, and almost wish away the in between times we spend with each other. I think about my own childhood & how I used to LONG to be older, more independent, finish school or university – I should have just stopped and enjoyed the moments I had instead of wishing for the next step in life.
I don’t like the phrase “new years resolutions” as I always seem to break them, so I’ll just call it a “decision for life”: To slow down & appreciate the small moments.
