It really is a small world – I met Christi through my sister, back when they were at university together and I was still at school, and we now live super close to each other.
When she first contacted me to do the shoot, she was a little apprehensive since she wasn’t sure we’d get many photos of the kids “cooperating”, but I love capturing kids doing what they naturally love – and that is to play. You have got to make the shoot feel as natural as playing a silly game. For much of the shoot we pretended I had a monkey on my shoulder, and I think the kids eventually SAW the monkey :)
It was a really fun session, and I really got my gym workout done that day, as the kids had their running shoes on! :)
