Wedding photography Glenshiel Joburg – this wedding was one of the most gorgeous winter days. Sarah and Sam are a divine couple and every step of the wedding day I could tell how in love they were. It was also lovely to see how they loved their families so much as well and how they appreciated them.
Sam and Sarah live in the UK, but decided to get married in South Africa where their grand parents live and were having their 50th anniversary. What a wonderful way to celebrate with them. Sam’s family came out from the UK and Sarah had family and friends fly in from America and in fact, from all around the world. It really was an international wedding affair.
Glenshiel is a boutique wedding venue in Westcliff Johannesburg and not many people know about it – it is tucked away but once you find it, you will be amazed by it’s beauty and history.
They had an intimate Jewish wedding, with the Bedekken with their nearest and dearest apart of it, and the Chuppa was followed in the beautiful gardens of Glenshiel. The lunch and decor was outstanding and mirrored the feeling of the day – romantic, beautiful and classical.
Just before the sunset, we sneaked out for some alone time with the couple and we explored the beauty of the gardens and were blessed with golden light (the light I am most in love with). Once we were back at the reception, the band played for their first dance and then Sarah was lifted up on her chair during the Horah – a Jewish traditional dance where the bride seated on a chair, is lifted up above the dance floor.
I left with sore feet, but a happy heart :)
