A visit to Greyton, Western Cape

My sister and I visited Greyton to see our family. It is such a cute little town, and bustling over the weekend with travellers from all over coming to see the markets, coming for a lazy lunch or even just a relaxing weekend away. The scenery is just so stunning. Imagine waking up to those mountains everyday.

My aunt and uncle own and run a stud farm called Netherfield Stud and have the most gorgeous farm that the horses roam around on. There is something so wonderful about seeing animals in a field – quite relaxing to watch. These horses are so well kept, and live in stunning stables. There is something special to be said about a well looked after animal, their coat, skin and mane looks shiny and healthy and to see their full bellys was awesome. I definitely get my love for animals from my family. ;)

We were spoilt with beautiful blue skies and sunny days, and the day we left it was misty and freezing. It was amazing to see how the different overcast light brought out amazing greens and bright colours which I hadn’t noticed beforehand.

It was so lovely to see our gran and aunt & uncle, catch up and laugh together. Family is so important – and it’s sometimes what people forget in their busy lifestyle. Slow down every now and again and remember the people who have shaped our lives.

Have a happy Wednesday!

What a wonderful post. The pictures are too glorious for words. I am on the Greyton Tourism committee and have been researching blogs about Greyton in the hope that I may be able to put a link to them on our website. I hope I succeed as blogs of this calibre really need to be shared with other people. Thank you Alana.
