Winter Wedding at The Cradle, Johannesburg

Jen and Michael are friends with a previous bride & groom I photographed, Fiona and Rolo. It was so awesome to work with them as they fully trusted me with their day and they said they would do whatever it takes to get good photos. :) Love my clients !!

I got to see my previous bride and groom PLUS as a bonus I got to see some of the bridesmaids as well. (reunion of note!) I knew it was going to be a great day after our numerous discussions for the planning of the day. Jen is so organised, and she had planned it all so perfectly and she looked incredible. I did a happy dance when I saw her in her dress, and I just knew how gorgeous she would look in her photos. Michael’s look on his face was so cute when he saw her and I can just tell how much he adores her.

I think I’m in love with weddings, because I get to see people in love, I get to see them at their happiest, their most beautiful, their moment together that they are most in love with each other. Their eyes are filled with glee and excitement for the future. I get to capture that – how cool is my job! :)

One of my dreams is to capture, not only the wedding of a couple, but the first few days of their honeymoon, as it is a romantic, joy-filled time in their lives. Imagine having some pro photos of the two of you on honeymoon – sunsets, romantic walks, candlelit dinner. Maybe that’s why I’m obsessed with “The Bachelor” – such a hopeless romantic ;)

I hope this is a great welcome back for Jen and Michael after their honeymoon :)
