Natsai & Tanaka’s Wedding, Bushman’s Rock, Harare, Zimbabwe

Every now and again I photograph a wedding where I just get all giddy inside at all the details of the day. This, was one of those weddings :)

Natsai made an absolutely beautiful bride, and her dress was to die for! She had worked closely with Justine from Vela Creative Consulting to plan all the details of the day, because she and her husband, Tanaka live outside the country. Everything was so gorgeous, the tables with a rustic chic elegance, and with lots of lace details (my fave!) and romantic soft pastel colours. Bushmans Rock has got to be the most amazing wedding venue. It has got such an array of places for photography, with a landscape that is breathtaking & really evokes some fond memories of when I used to live in Zimbabwe as it is a typical Zimbabwe bush setting.

Being a day wedding, we had scheduled in their couple shoot to be later in the day & WOW were we then blessed with the most amazing light for their couple shoot, which had the same tones that ran throughout the day – soft pastel milky colours panned across the vineyards and across the dam water, and as the sunset, the yellows turned to pinks & the pinks to dark purples over the fields as we drove back to the reception. Magic!

What I loved most was how much these two love each other and they had really raw emotion on their wedding day. Being with friends and family who witness your special day, really brings out the emotions & to see the day turn out so beautifully after so many months of planning, must be so rewarding :)
