A trip to Zebula

It’s always great to get out of Joburg for the weekend and lately Dirk and I have been so busy we have hardly seen much of each other. He started his MBA, so much of his time now is spent studying. So a trip away with friends to Zebula was welcomed by us both!

We spent a day on the golf course together – Dirk playing, me driving the golf cart, soaking up the sun and taking photos & enjoying quality time together :) Now I know why guys love to play golf. Being out on the course is so relaxing and quiet. None of this rugby shouting – it’s definitely a gentleman’s game and I learnt a few tips on the etiquette of the game, such as no driving past when someone is about to take a swing, as it distracts them. Being the responsible driver of the cart, I had to obey the rules, but I have to say, that cart was such fun, I could’ve easily zoomed past them & tooted my horn – just for fun :)

The whole trip was so relaxing, reading, going to the spa, spending time with our friends and lots of good food and wine. :)

Picture three is not what the golf was like. that ball hit the pin, bounced out at right angles, got picked up by a hornbill an ddropped in the bush. So frustrating….

Looks and sounds like a wonderful weekend Lan. Gorgeous blue skies and the bush and golf course contrast, lovely. Glad you got time to spend with Dirk for a change! Some rather nice legs in some photos too! Didn’t know you could give a good swing of the club either.
