Lindsay and Kevin’s Wedding, Hertford Country Hotel, Johannesburg

Where do I even start with this beautiful couple! I met Lindsay, her brother-in-law & her nephew a few months ago when she was choosing her photographer. The pressure was on because her brother-in-law has a huge interest in photography, and her nephew is studying at Vega. I always enjoy like minded people, but I also feel the pressure with other photographer clients. They were there to help Lindsay choose her photographer, so I’m glad I was the one she ended up choosing :)

Lindsay and Kevin are the most amazing couple. They walk their life together with Christ and when Lindsay met Kevin, not only was she blessed with him, she was also blessed to meet the most gorgeous little girl, Kevin’s daughter, Tayla. It was the most heart-warming thing to watch how Lindsay is with Tayla. She has become her daughter, and the love she shows her is beautiful! It was lovely to see the unity of their little family.

As many people will know (especially my husband when I come home after a wedding and tell him all about it) I get really involved in my couples wedding day, and I have been known to have tears at a couple of weddings.

This was one of them.

Lindsay tragically lost her mum, and as one of the last “speeches” of the night – Lindsay wrote a letter to her mum in heaven telling her about her wedding day, and that she missed her & wished she could’ve been there.

Well, that was me finished! I’m surprised I managed to get shots in focus. I needed to capture these moments as it was being read out, so there I was wiping the tears as fast as I could!

I hope I did your day justice – I feel like I walk away with friends after this wedding. xxx
